Portable Memory Emulator
The AIT PDL Memory Emulator (PME) is a small, portable, adapter that allows an AIT Portable Data Loader (PDL) or any Windows PC (with USB interface) to be used to execute data load operations with aircraft systems requiring Type II PCMCIA Interface (Linear Memory/ATA Emulator). The PME is connected to a host system (laptop or tablet PC) or to AIT’s PDL-615-615A-XT via USB and works with AIT PDL software application to provide secure data transfer functions to avionics systems, such as the EGPWS MKV. The PME eliminates the need for the use of insecure portable, non-volatile, mass storage devices in aircraft maintenance applications.
