The UXI-1553-429 modules utilize a simple, reliable, high performance FPGA-based hardware architecture that features the highest data throughput rates in the industry on a flexible platform that can be easily adapted to meet a wide range of application needs. The UXI-1553-429 cards are configured with 32 Mbytes per channel for MIL-STD-1553 and 128Mbytes for ARINC429, providing ample capacity to support high volumes of data and complex simulations.
This document comprises the Hardware Manual for the AIT UXI-1553-429 Test & Simulation module The UXI-1553-429 is capable of transmitting and receiving both MILSTD-1553 or ARINC429. Currently only one of those protocols can operate at a time however future software updates are expected to allow both MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC429 to operate concurrently. A general description of the hardware architecture is provided along with technical data, including pin-outs and installation instructions, for the hardware module.
