Do you need to share data across multiple host systems in a real-time simulation, process control, or data acquisition application? Our Shared Memory Network (SMN) products provide a low latency, deterministic, high speed, and cost effective solution.

The AIT SMN solution utilizes a 2.125 Gbps optical network that can be wired in a loop configuration (no hub required), or as a star network (hub required). We provide host interface modules for PXI Express, PCI Express, PCI, and an XMC mezzanine module. All interfaces are supported by Windows, Linux, LabVIEW Realtime (Linux), and VxWorks device drivers and host APIs.

Our 16-port managed SMN hub allows nodes of the network to be easily connected into a loop. The hub automatically bypasses disconnected ports, or ports connected to a malfunctioning node, to allow the shared memory network to remain operational even when one or more devices in the loop fail.
