AIT Releases PXIe and PXI Fibre Channel Simulyzer Test Module

Avionics Interface Technologies (AIT) has released a dual-port simulator/analyzer Fibre Channel (FC) interface test module for PXIe (PXI Express) and cPCI (Compact PCI).  AIT’s PXIe-CFC4 and PXI-CFC4 Simulyzer cards are high performance intelligent modules offering data generation/simulation and monitor/analyzer functions for test and verification of Fibre Channel nodes and switches.

AIT’s PXIe-CFC4 and PXI-CFC4 support Point-to-Point (PTP), switched fabric, and arbitrated loop topologies. Both modules offer precision timing with an IRIG-B time code encoder/decoder, physical bus replay, and live data capture. They also employ an in-line port configuration for transparent analyzer functions and work with AIT’s fcXplorer Graphical User Interface (GUI) analyzer software.

Both the PXIe-CFC4 and PXI-CFC4 support a range of avionics protocols, including, FC-AE-ASM, FC-AE-RDMA, FC-AV, and FC-AE-1553.  The products can also be used for MIL-STD-1760E weapons bus applications.

The Fibre Channel Software Development Kit (SDK) bundled with the hardware features an application programmer interface and device driver for MS Windows, and Linux operating systems.

fcXplorer is an optional Graphical User Interface software package that troubleshoots, optimizes, plans, and configures FC traffic loading. High- and low-level protocol analysis features provide capture, filtering, time stamp, and interpretation of FC traffic and generation of advanced statistics.
