AIT Releases ARINC 429 Test & Simulation Module for PCI Express with Data Corruptor Functionality

Avionics Interface Technologies (AIT) has today announced the release of a full‐featured PCIe x4 bus module designed to provide a stand‐alone ARINC 429 interface for avionics applications. AIT’s PCIe‐C429 offers advanced test, simulation, monitoring, and databus analyzer functions for up to 32 ARINC 429 channels.

AIT’s PCIe-C429 board has integrated the ability to corrupt ARINC 429 labels “on-the-fly” with our Data Corruptor™ functionality. ARINC 429 receive channels can be matched with transmission channels enabling the user to corrupt ARINC 429 data in-line. Data corruption features include removing labels, modifying data, and adding labels. The latency introduced by data corruption is less than 1 bit-time on the ARINC 429 channel. Up to 16 channels, Transfer and Receive pairs, can be corrupted simultaneously.

All of AIT’s ARINC 429 modules utilize an FPGA based architecture to provide a flexible ARINC 429 compliant protocol engine. This core is also capable of supporting low level error injection and detection and which can easily support program specific customizations to support even the most demanding test and simulation applications.

AIT’s PCIe-C429 works with Flight Simulyzer™, the industry-leading Graphical User Interface (GUI) that allows users to capture and analyze ARINC data. Together the advanced capabilities of the hardware and software make up AIT’s powerful ARINC 429 test systems.
